I am a 49 year old African American male who, at the age of

17 in 1975, was convicted of one case of Robbery with two counts.Twenty years later I was convicted of one case of Receiving Stolen Property and 2nd Degree Commercial Burglary, considered a “wobbler,” involving $338 of damage and property.It was raised to a felony.The Receiving Stolen Property was reversed on appeal.I was given two strikes for the first case and one for the current non-violent non-serious offense and sentenced to 25 years to LIFE with one year added for 26 years to LIFE.My wife of over 27 years and my 7 children are left without a husband and father for the love and support only I could give.I also have 9 grandchildren, a sister and three brothers and many other close and supportive relatives.
