In February of 2000 I was convicted of assault with a weapon which, in this case, was a screwdriver which I had in my possession but never used as a weapon. I was sentenced to 35 years to LIFE. The only injuries sustained by the victim were some red marks which had nothing to do with the screwdriver. He was not hospitalized. The victim, a registered sex offender, was living with my ex-wife and my son. The fight was a result of my concern about the health and safety of my son who now lives with my family. I am now married to a wonderful mother of my three sons who has been working hard to support the boys who are growing up |
