I was a passenger in a friend’s car when we were pulled over by the L. A. P. D. They found a pound of marijuana in the car, and, when asked who owned it, the driver said it was his. Even so, I was convicted of “transportation of marijuana” and, because of my previous record, received a 25 year to LIFE sentence under California’s Three Strikes Law. I have one daughter and a loving family and I will never give up on them. During my incarceration I have worked hard to maintain a positive attitude and am focusing my own self-development toward helping and saving others who are “lost” or vulnerable to a LIFE sentence because of this immoral and unjust Three Strikes Law.
