I have been in prison over 11 years now for possession of a small amount of cocaine and heroin. In that time I lost my mother, dad, brother and sister but I couldn’t even go to their funerals because I am a Lifer.  I have three sons and two daughters who are struggling to understand why I got a LIFE sentence for a minor crime.  I have eight grandchildren who I have never had the chance to hold.  My family needs me badly, but I am not there and we are all suffering because of this unfair and immoral Three Strikes Law.  People must be punished for their crimes, but the punishment should fit the crime.
